Senator Mitch McConnell gathered the Republican majority on the Senate Judiciary Committee together and reached a decision that no hearings would be held for a supreme court nominee by President Obama. Mount McConnell was formed, with a signed loyalty oath to boot.

While as steep and fearless as the Wasatch Front or the Sawtooths of Idaho, could this be navigated around by "the perfect nominee?" Idaho political commentator Chris Carlson believes so and I do too.
