Meet our newest voice, Anneke Garcia. We are happy to say she will be joining us throughout the season with a new perspective on headlines in the news. Anneke is an instructional designer currently based in Salt Lake City and a mom of two boys.

She earned undergraduate degrees in French and Graphic Design from Montana State University, after which she served as a missionary in Tokyo, Japan. She has a Ph.D. in Instructional Psychology and Technology with a focus in Second Language Acquisition from Brigham Young University, which she earned while living and working in both Taiwan and Mainland China. Her academic background in social science carries over into her political interests, foremost of which are education, health care, and social support for working families. She attends a Spanish branch with her family and is passionate about immigration reform and support for children from immigrant and refugee families.
