LDS Dems of America Endorses Hillary Clinton for President

While some members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are trying to decide whether to vote for Donald Trump or Gary Johnson, we'll be putting forth the case that our Mormon sisters and brothers should consider a third, too-often-overlooked option: Hillary Clinton.

There is no doubt that partisan hatred of the Clinton family, and particularly of Hillary herself, runs deep all across America. This hatred has spawned a barrage of insults, insinuations, accusations, and attacks. Perhaps no person in contemporary American politics has been subjected to a concentrated partisan onslaught for as long, or as intensely, as Hillary Clinton. And, from our best research, it looks like the worst thing people can find is that she didn’t operate her email server the right way.

Over the upcoming months of this heated campaign, LDS Democrats of America will be proud to support Hillary Clinton to be the next President of the United States. We will also reintroduce Hillary to our co-religionists who know only the rumors mongered by her political opponents. [Throughout this campaign, we will also maintain two core principles that are at the heart of all we do: LDS Dems is a big tent, and politics must always stop at the meetinghouse doors.]

We are excited by Hillary for many reasons. Here are a few:

•Hillary’s policy stances on the sanctity of the family (e.g., equal pay, family leave, access to health care), the environment, personal freedom, women’s rights, refugee rights, religious freedom, income inequality, education, and immigration are closer to the Mormon doctrines we hold dear than anyone else running.

•Having served as First Lady of Arkansas, First Lady of the United States of America, United States Senator, and Secretary of State, Hillary has an unprecedentedly thorough understanding of the system of government that the founders of our country established.

•After her time as Secretary of State, Hillary has an unmatched number of positive personal relationships with leaders of foreign powers.

We urge our fellow Latter-day Saints, our fellow Christians, and our fellow Americans to celebrate not only the historic nature of Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for president, but the significant and positive impact on politics and policy that her tenure as president will bring.

It is with great pride that we declare #ImWithHer and #ShesWithUs.

Robert Taber, chair, and Crystal Young-Otterstrom, vice-chair.

About LDS Dems of America:

Founded in April 2013, our mission at LDS Democrats of America is to promote the full participation of Latter-day Saints in the Democratic Party. We do this by providing educational and social resources to progressive, moderate, and conservative Democrats who are also LDS and others who are interested in participating in a “no shouting” environment.

We're on Facebook, Twitter, and on the web.

You somehow forgot to mention under “sanctity of the family” that Hilary is for Pro-Choice, which kind of defeats the rest of her stance on the sanctity of family. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints have the knowledge that we existed in spirit form and made the choice to come to earth . Pro-choice allows the choice of another spirit with a body to prevent a pre-born spirit from obtaining a body that is necessary to return to Heavenly Father.
Are you sure support Hilary"s ideas on the “Sanctity of Family”? or should I call it “Sanctity of Selfishness”

LDS conservatives are having a hard time voting for Trump. He is corrupt and the opposite of who we should vote for as a righteous leader. Trump has extremely low support among the LDS population. Good for LDS conservatives!

However, Hillary is just as bad and corrupt as Trump. Yet LDS democrats are supporting her. Too bad LDS democrats seem to be putting party ahead of moral judgement.

Bette Midler has sumed up The Republican Fascist Bigot Presidential Nominee ,The Republican’s (FRANKINSTIEN)MONSTER Donald Trump!
The rhetoric of Trump and the rest of the GOP today, however, proves just how timeless and Dangerous Adolph Hitler’s Book Mien Kemph was and seems to be Trump’s guideline and as Heller’s magnum opus truly is very very truthful. The sadism of torture becomes justice, the brutality of carpet bombing becomes patriotism, Trump’s capitalist plunder becomes philanthropy to the workers, his narcissistic arrogance becomes a virtue, his racist and misogynist slanders become the truth that only he is willing to tell over the din of political correctness.

The list of deceptions in the bizarro world Trump and his Republican brethren inhabit goes on and on, and, tragically, far too many American voters are duped by this cynical populist tactic that, as Heller’s writing shows, is as old as politics itself. Leave it to such a brilliant personality as Bette Midler to unearth the perfect description of these Republican lies, and to such a brilliant author as Heller to pen them in the first place. Fascist Trump now being Endorsed and Financially Supported By The Ku Klux Klan !

Hillary Clinton is overlooked? Funny, last I checked the DNC has been shoving her down our throats since the beginning of the election. With Bernie shut out, the candidate now who best champions progressive values is clearly Jill Stein. It’d be great to see an organization value ideals over party loyalty for once.

No thinking person who knows Hillary’s history can possibly vote for her. She is a foul, hateful, profoundly corrupt individual. If she was a conservative I still would not vote for her.
